Pain Management with Essential Oils

How essential oils substitute painkillers and trips to doctor

Ever since I embarked on the determination explore into essential oil usage and benefits, which oils can I use is the first question that pop up into my mind.

On 31st Dec 2021, I had injured myself badly doing plank exercise. I have always know that I don't respond well to plank but since I have been doing it well since Aug 21, I kinda of let my guts down. I have not exercise the whole month of Dec and plunged directly into ChloeTing's HIIT program and injured my lower back so badly that I couldn't finish the workout nor do any stretch or cool off exercise. (Hey it not Chloe's fault, it me so please leave her out, her program has been effective on me for 3 months that I was exercising.)

Essential Oils Massage to Ease the pain

30 minutes passed as I sat on my sofa since I couldn't stand up straight due to the sharp pain, I received a SMS from Dana asking for breakfast gathering. Immediately I sought her advice and I grabbed the nearest oil available "Breathe Again Roll-on" and rubbed a bit onto my back. Another 30 minutes passes by and I was able to stand up slowly..

Making of my own Pain Relief Blend

When I got better, I got a call from Dana, and following her advice, I massaged myself with wintergreen essential oil followed by peppermint, and finally ended with oregano essential oil. I feel like a comic character instantly I can stand up straight as if I never suffered any pain. The feeling is amazing but of course it short-lived. I have to reapply almost every 15 to 20 min. As it last day of 2021, I need to chauffeur my family to another place for a countdown gathering.

I decided to combine everything and made a blend-on-the-go to ease my pain throughout the night. Here what I have:

DIY Pain Relief Blend

  • 5 Drops of Wintergreen Essential Oil

  • 5 Drops of Peppermint Essential Oil

  • 5 Drops of Oregano Essential Oil

  • 5 Drops of Deep Relief Blend

  • YL V6-Vege as Carrier Oil

Combine the above into a 10 ml roller bottle and I am good to go. However, I realize the pain relief isn't as great as I had applied individual oil in layers. But it is a good interim solution.
